Chapter III. Information requirements for intermediaries Article 13
Information conditions 1. All information to be provided to customers in accordance with Article 12 shall be communicated: a) on paper or on any other durable medium available and accessible to the customer; b) in a clear and accurate manner, comprehensible to the customer; c) in an official language of the Member State of the commitment or in any other language agreed by the parties.
2. By way of derogation from paragraph 1(a), the information referred to in Article 12 may be provided orally where the customer requests it , or where immediate cover is necessary. In those cases, the information shall be provided to the customer in accordance with paragraph 1 immediately after the conclusion of the insurance contract.
3. In the case of telephone selling, the prior notification given to the customer shall be in accordance with Community rules applicable to the distance marketing of consumer financial services. Moreover, information shall be provided to the customer in accordance with paragraph 1 immediately after the conclusion of the insurance contract.
